CARPENTER, RICHARD R. of Bloomfield Hills, June 13, 2012 age 84. Beloved husband of Mary for 56 years. Dear father of James W. of Lake Orion. Father-in-Law of Patricia Carpenter of Rochester Hills. Loving Grandfather of Chelsea, Hayley, and Chloe. Brother of Robert of Ohio, Mr. Carpenter owned Detroit Piper Aircraft Sales and Service. He formerly was employed at J.L. Hudson Co, and was a licensed commercial pilot. Mr. Carpenter was a Navy veteran of WW2, and a member of American Legion Post 233 of Lake Orion. Visitation Monday from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home (248-693-8336). Interment services Tuesday 12:00 noon at Great Lakes National Cemetery, in Holly.
