Richard Lee Chapman, 69, of Lake Orion, Michigan passed away on July 29, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born May 1942 to Rex and Irene Chapman. He owned Square Tool & Engineering in Goodison for over 20 years and was well-known for specialized machinery work serving the automotive, aerospace, and nuclear industries. Richard served on the Oakland County Sheriff's Advisory Committee and the board for the Rainbow Connection. Richard married Dorothy Ann Blaylock, also of Lake Orion. Richard said his family was his greatest legacy and was blessed for each person in his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; his children, Brigette Robertson, Dawn (Gordon) Woods, Cheli (Scott) McArthur, and Richard (Breann) Chapman; his grandchildren, Doug, Heather, Kylie, Camden, Austin, Nicholas, Megan, Brielle and Jayden; his great-granddaughter, Lily; and his siblings, Linda (Larry) Feldbusch, Larry Chapman, and Mary (Robert) Blosser.A celebration of Richard's life will be held Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. the Lake Orion Chapel of Sparks Griffin Funeral Home.
