Richard Arthur Driscoll

Richard “Dick” Driscoll; passed away on Thursday April 26, 2018; at age 91.  Richard Arthur Driscoll was born August 23rd, 1926 in Detroit Michigan. Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Gloria, who passed in December, 2016. Richard “Dick” served in the Army Air Corps from 1944 until the end of the war, and was also active in the Masonic Lodge including playing in the Drum and Bugle corp. Richard worked in the newspaper business, and retired from the Detroit News where he worked as a Mailroom Supervisor.

Richard enjoyed baseball, bowling, and golf and was especially good at reupholstering furniture, painting and wallpapering, and performing odd jobs around the house. Most of all Richard enjoyed spending time with his wife Gloria and his loving family, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his daughter, Nancy (Dave) Scott; sons, Rick (Dorisse) Driscoll, David (John) Driscoll; grandchildren, DJ (Amy) Scott, Cole Driscoll, Tazmin Driscoll, Marya (Dave) Rosseel, Sienna (Dan) Dowdy; great grandchildren, Abbey Scott, Audrey Scott, Brody Scott, Lily Rosseel, Liam Rosseel, Lana Rosseel, Aiden Dowdy, Gavin Dowdy; brother Al, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 12noon at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shriner's Hospital for Children would be greatly appreciated.
