Richard Gordon Thompson

Richard Gordon Thompson; of Lake Orion; age 76; passed away on February 25, 2020.  Rich is the beloved companion of Sally Corbin for 28 years; loving father of John (Kim) Thompson; loving grandfather of Mike Redd, Josh and John Thompson; and dear great grandfather of Blake, Lily and Layla.  He was also the dear brother of the late Roger Thompson.  Rich was a proud Veteran of the United States Army.  He was an animal guy his entire life and loved every dog that he had through the years, especially Stacey, his rescue lab mix.  Rich also enjoyed playing bridge, gardening with Sally, going out to eat, and traveling. He had a sense of humor until the end and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date along with a burial at the Great Lakes National Cemetery.
