Richard Irwin

April 3, 1925 — November 28, 2010

Richard M. Irwin; November 28, 2010; age 85; of Novi; formerly of Pontiac; beloved husband of Ann for 58 years; loving father of Bruce (Andrea) Irwin of Dearborn and Clare Irwin of Providence, Rhode Island; and dear brother of Jeanne (Bill) Seabright of Evanston, Illinois. Richard was preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth Mary Irwin. He was retired from the Pontiac State Bank and was a lifelong member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Pontiac. Richard served in 9th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army during WW II. Funeral services with military honors will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Pontiac, with Rev. Roy Langwig officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunshine Children's Home, 7223 Maumee Western Road, Maumee, Ohio 43537 or to the First Presbyterian Church, 99 Wayne Street, Pontiac 48342.
