SULLIVAN, RICHARD "Dick" G.; of Lake Orion; September 20, 2012; age 67. Dear husband and best friend of Marjorie Johnston- Sullivan (nee Watts). Predeceased by his first wife, Beverly; and his parents, Bette and Don Sullivan. Devoted father of Colleen Sullivan Leh (Tim) of Lake Orion, Carrie (Rich) Cadicamo of South Lyon; step-father to Jennifer (Mike) Sullivan of Palm Bay, F l o r i d a ; b e l o v e d grandpa of Kaylee Sullivan, Alex Leh, Elizabeth, Abby, and Josie Cadicamo; also survived by his brothers, Tom (Linda) of Grosse Pointe, Steffan of New Hampshire and Dean (Susan) of Texas; step-father, Dr. Donald Otto, of Arizona; aunt, Annie Thatcher of Ferndale; uncle, Larry Sullivan of Kentucky; three nieces, and two great-nephews; brother-inlaw of Robert (Judy) Watts of Texas, David (Betty) Watts of Tennessee, Mary (the late Jack) Elmer of Livonia; many cousins and numerous friends. Dick grew up in Grosse Pointe and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1963. He was a proud graduate of The University of Michigan "Go Blue" School of Engineering, class of 1967. Dick was a life member of the Lake Orion Jaycees and the Michigan Jaycee Senate. He belonged to SAE, was a long time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lake Orion, A board member and office helper with Love in the Name of Christ. He retired from Infineon Semiconductors (Livonia) in 2007, after working at several companies in the area as an electrical Engineer. Dick was especially proud of his United States Patent regarding circuiting, overcurrent and electrical load issued in 1999. He built and loved his dune buggy made from a 1964 Volkswagen. This "toy" brought a smile to his face by just riding in it. He especially liked to drive his dune buggy to b r e a k f a s t a t C J ' s o n Thursday mornings to meet up with the ROMEOS (retired Orion men eating out). Dick looked forward to his annual retreat at Manresa, his yearly trek to Nashville for barbeque ribs at his brother-in-law's, and his fall trip to New Hampshire with his brother. Dick will be remembered for his zest for life, the smile on his face, his computer help, and his many friendships. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Rd., Lake Orion. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at SPARKSGRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. Memorials can be made to Love in the Name of Christ, P.O.
