Richard Thorpe

Richard A. Thorpe; of Oxford; passed away on October 25, 2018 at age 56 surrounded by his caring family. Richard is the beloved son of Berneice and the late Andrew Thrope; dear brother of Shirley (Gary) Morris, Marvon (Anita) Thorpe, Bob (Jennifer) Thorpe, Delores (Ron) Gajeski, Judy Gonzales, Ben (Amy) Thorpe and Cynthia Dalton; loving step-father of Eric, Heather and Kristy; and adoring uncle of many nieces & nephews. Richard was a welder by trade and used those skills to create artistic pieces and sculptures. He was also a talented carpenter, loved working on hot rods, antique cars, mini bikes and choppers, and creating super powered remote controlled vehicles. Richard was a loving son, brother, step-father, and best uncle ever to his beloved nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 6pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends for visitation from 4pm until the time of service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
