WERTZ, RICHARD E. December 31, 2010 Age 68 of Lake Orion. Beloved husband of the late Diana. Loving Father of Jeffery (Kolbie) Stuck, Traci (Brian) Trimmer, Heather Wertz and Denise (Bill Bushman) Wertz. Dear Papa of Cody Wertz, Ericka Kamphuis, Corrine Kamphuis, Hannah Bushman and Miranda Bushman. Brother of Diane Hitchcock, John Wertz and the late Billy and Judy. Brother-in-law of Ken Feist, Darlene (Bruce) Mathiak and Doug Hall. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Wertz retired from Sea Ray Boats in Oxford as a Quality Control Supervisor. He was an Assistant Varsity Softball Coach to Denny Davis @ Lake Orion High School for 20 years. Richard was the Head Coach from 1986 to 1990 of the Orion/Oxford Fast Pitch Travel Team. He was a lifetime member of the Oakland County Sportsman Club; member of Lapeer Firelocks Muzzle Loading Club; member of 3 Fires Michigan Muzzle Loading Club and most recently worked at Oakland University Golf Course. Hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, gunsmithing and leather working. Mr. Wertz was a wonderful husband, father, papa and was loved by his many friends. Memorial Service 1:30 PM Sunday, January 30th, 2011 at the Elba Township Hall (4717 Lippincott Rd. Lapeer 48446). In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wertz Family.
