Rita (Remington) Fiddes

Dearborn Heights, MI – Rita May Fiddes 80 years old died May 16, 2016.

She was born Feb, 19, 1936 in Big Rock, MI in Montmorency County to Emory A. and Hazel Remington (Fowler). She attended Dearborn High and graduated in 1953.  She was self-employed as a seamstress and enjoyed genealogy research.  For many years she reenacted the role teacher in the Little Red Schoolhouse in Dearborn Heights.

Survivors include three sons, R. Gordon (Debrah) Fiddes of Portland, OR; Ken (Gina) Fiddes of North Las Vegas; Dave (Violet) Fiddes of Lake Orion, MI, and one daughter, Donna (Brent) Guenther of Valencia, PA. She enjoyed spending time with her 10 grandchildren.  Her sister is Martha (John) Tsaousis of Port St. Lucie, FL.

A memorial service is scheduled at 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Silvery Lane Baptist Church 24949 Hass St., Dearborn Heights, MI, 48127.

Burial is scheduled at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Briley Township Cemetery in Atlanta, MI, three miles from the place of her birth.

Rita requested that gifts and remembrances be sent to missionaries dedicated to preaching the Salvation message.
