Robert D. Ballard

Robert Ballard; of Oxford; born April 29, 1934; passed away February 21, 2016. Robert leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years Ann (Knott) Ballard.  He is the loving father of Theresa (Kenneth) Traczynski, Maryann Lewis and the late David and Brian Ballard; grandfather of Jennifer (Matthew) DeNio, Corey Worden, Shayna Worden, Aaron Carthens, Anthony Lewis, Emily (Nick) O’Donnell and Elyse (Kevin) Benton; great grandfather of Barrett DeNio, Zoey DeNio, Devin Worden, Alivia Carthens, Aaron Carthens Jr., Hadley O’Donnell and Sara Kate O’Donnell; and brother of William (Corienne) Ballard, Jean Linville and the late Joan Webber.  Robert was an Oxford resident for 31 years and loved being outside talking with his friends and neighbors.  He also loved to tinker with small engines and just about anything broken.  Up to the point where his health got in the way, Robert enjoyed belonging to the Muzzle Loaders Club at the Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club.  Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11am in the Mausoleum at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion.
