Robert L. Boynton

January 8, 1916 — April 6, 2007

Robert L. Boynton of Rochester Hills; formerly of Birmingham; passed away April 6, 2007 at the age of 91; preceded in death by his wife Harriett; survived by his children Thomas (Joyce) Boynton, Jack (Joan) Boynton and Sue (Michael) Abbott; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also grieved by his dear friend Carmen Hardenburg, brother Richard (Janet) Boynton and sister-in-law Mary Boynton. Robert graduated from Pontiac Central High School and the University of Michigan with Engineering and Law degrees. Mr. Boynton spent his entire professional career at Harness, Dickey & Pierce Patent Law Firm in Bloomfield Hills and Detroit, which was interrupted only by his service in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Boynton was also active in the Birmingham Senior Men's club. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
