Robert Mannion

Robert Mannion; of Lake Orion; passed away early Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Robert is the beloved husband of Unju; loving father of Sally Medina, Olivia Banks, Angie Gibbs and John Mannion; loving grandpa of Evelyn, Jillian, Mena, Cody, Kristen, Jessica, Amber, Kade and Sean; and dear brother of Sally Callahan and Mary Agnes Mannion.  Robert was born on July 31, 1947 to Agnes and John Mannion.  He was a 20 year Army Veteran serving with the rank of Sergeant First Class and being the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal.  Robert was a humble, hardworking man who possessed a very generous heart.  He enjoyed listening to music, traveling, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.  He was larger than life and so many will miss his jokes, laughs and kind heart.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 1pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11am until the time of service.  Interment will follow with military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.  Memorials would be greatly appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
