Robert B. "Bob" Oliver II; September 3, 2014; born September 10, 1931 in Pontiac to Robert B. and Anna Mae Oliver. He is survived by Velma, his wife of 53 years; daughters Tracey (Richard) Oliver-Lamey and Andrea; grandson Robert Lamey; and sister Ann Spees of Green Bay, WI. A graduate of Culver Military Academy, Bob served as a navigation instructor in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Bob owned Village Automotive in Oxford for 22 years. An active church member, after he retired, Bob volunteered at the Lighthouse of Oakland County, Village of Oakland Woods, MeadowCreek Village and PCUSA Katrina Hurricane Relief Mission Trips. A member of Pontiac Hunt Club for 55 years, Bob was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and bird watcher. This was his favorite place to vacation, in recent years, with family and friends. A luncheon celebrating Bob's life will be held at the Lafayette Grande, 1 Lafayette Street, Pontiac at 12 noon on September 13, 2014, family will be there at 11 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Culver Military Academy Scholarship Fund, Lighthouse of Oakland County, or First Presbyterian Church of Pontiac Memorial Fund.
