Rosamond Mae Denham, age 90; a resident of Green Valley, Arizona for 23 years, passed away December 3, 2009. She was born March 23, 1919 in Carrington, North Dakota. She was a school teacher in Wyoming and North Dakota before moving to Long Beach, California where she worked at Bank of America. Rosamond then moved to Pontiac and married George Carlson. She lived in Pontiac for 40 years before retiring from Pontiac State Bank as Vice President. She retired to Green Valley where she was a member of the Community Methodist Church, singing in the choir. In 1988 she married Allen Denham of Pontiac. They loved to travel, sing in the choir and volunteer with many local organizations. Rosamond is survived by her two sisters, Daisy Wray of Claremont, California and Fern Wernicke of Sweet Home, Oregon; three nieces, Shirley Sours, Susan Swarzkopf and Carol Gates; four nephews, Philip Wray, Scott Wray, Alan Wray and Dale Wernicke; and three step daughters, Karen Balog, Patricia MacDonald and Julie Denham. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flowers at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
