Rosario "Charing" Franco Urbano

Rosario Franco Urbano, age 86, of Pontiac, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 5, 2026. 

Rosario Franco Urbano was married to Arnulfo Urbano before he passed away at the age of 48 yrs old.

She's been a widow for almost 34 years. She loves her kids and specially her grandkids. She loves family gatherings with friends, families, and love hosting occasions. If you ask her, she will tell you that she have 3 biological kids and 4 grandkids, but in realty, for our family friends, she thinks were her own kids and grandkids. She treated everyone as family, outside or inside the relm. You cannot ask for more. She gives it all. My mother was a very pleasant, kind-hearted soul person. She is very supportive if you need advice and emotional support. Very generous, financial if she can and her time. She is a very good listner and gives very good advices. She goes out of her way to help others. A mother that everyone wishes for. She will be missed by her family and friends, and specially those who she touched their lives.

In her lifetime, she earned 2 bachelor's degree, in Pharmacy and Medical Technology. She practiced as a Medical Technologist until she was 65 and retired. Her co-workers loved her, 1 remember everytime I was there to pick her up, co-workers will come to my car and inform me that she is coming down soon, even the guard.

Simple word to described her is KIND-HEARTED Soul J

MAMA you will be missed, but we all know that you are with PAPA, your siblings and parents, looking down and watching after us above there with a better view of everyone.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., with rosary prayers at 7:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 20740 S. Nunneley Road, Clinton Twp., 48035. Following the mass, the burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The luncheon will be held at Fern Hill Golf Club, 17600 Clinton River Rd., Clinton Twp., 48038.
