Rosemary Louise Chuey

Rosemary Louise Chuey; of Oxford; age 87; passed away March 25, 2018. Rosemary was born March 15, 1931 to John and Esther Wandell in LaPorte, Indiana, the fifth of six children. Rosemary attended Ball State University on an athletic scholarship. She taught for many years in the Pontiac School System, first teaching physical education and later math. Rosemary was active in Right to Life, supported the Oxford Pregnancy Center, and was instrumental in founding the Holy Family Adoration Chapel at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband Donald and is survived by her brother Bob; five children, Mark (Jean), Paul (Kathy), John, James (Julie), and Mary Bishop (Brad); and nine grandchildren. Memorial donations are encouraged to the Oxford Pregnancy Center. A Requiem Mass will be said at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 North Lapeer Road, Lake Orion at 11am on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Viewing will be held Tuesday 4-8pm with Rosary Prayers at 5:30pm at Sparks Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. Interment Square Lake Cemetery.
