Ruth Dunlap

Dunlap, Ruth Ashley; of Pontiac; age 85. Sunrise February 25, 1927 - Sunset September 3, 2012. Daughter of the late Cleveland and Rosie Johnson Ashley. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Dunlap. Ruth is survived by sisters Maggie Beasley, Florece (Robert) Henderson, Verlee (Rev. Joseph) Blackshere, Tressia Ashley and Shirley Ashley; brothers, Rev. William" Bill "and Julius (Clara) Ashley; stepchildren ,Sandra Dunlap and Alfred ( Brenda) Dunlap; sister in law to Mattie Ashley and Malisie Ashley; and niece to Ernest (Pearl) Ashley. Also survived by step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and many many nephews, nieces and other friends. Ruth was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, 250 Fisher St., Pontiac with Billy Allen officiating. Family hour 10 a.m. until time of service .Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home Pontiac.
