In Loving Memory of Ryan Michael Briggs
Ryan Briggs passed away recently in Farmington Hills, MI, a city he had come to call home after a lifetime of memories built in the desert heat of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Born with a quiet spirit and a gentle heart, Ryan was known by those closest to him as a kind, thoughtful, and soft-spoken individual. Growing up in Scottsdale, he found joy in the simple, steady rhythms of childhood friendship. Whether he was navigating the local streets on a skateboard or bike, shooting hoops in his front yard, or lost in the digital worlds of the video games he loved, Ryan brought a sense of steady companionship to those closest to him.
He was a person who didn't need to be the loudest in the room to be felt; his warmth and sincerity spoke for themselves. In his youth, he and his closest friends were inseparable, navigating the hallways of school, life, and the freedom of summer afternoons with a shared sense of wonder and loyalty.
Ryan’s passing follows shortly after the loss of his father, Robert Briggs, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his mother, Sherry Briggs, and his sister, Ann Starks, as well as a tight-knit circle of lifelong friends who will forever remember his "shy but kind" nature.
While his journey took him from the trails of Arizona to the rolling hills of Kentucky and forested lakes of Michigan the impact of his kindness remains rooted in the hearts of everyone who grew up alongside him. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his gentle spirit will continue to ride on with us.
