Scott Christopher Trautman

Scott Christopher Trautman; age 54; left this earth to be in the loving arms of Christ on September 30th, 2024. He waged a mighty battle with ALS and won, as it could not and did not steal his faith in God, whom he knew to be kind, loving and merciful.

Scott was the son of Donald (deceased) & Patricia Trautman, brother to Brett Trautman as well as Nagi & Erin Habib. He was an Uncle to George, Jaclyn, Sharif (deceased) and Amir Habib, a cousin to Stefan & Judy Mach, Kati & John Gordon, Christopher & Rie Mach, Micah & Amanda Mach, Matthew Mach and Alanha & Ki Lewis, Dale (deceased) & Betty Jett, David & Judy Jett, Deena & Danny LaRose, Cindy & Marvin Detring, Barry Trautman, Eric & Mellissa Trautman, and Laura Trautman. He was also a nephew to Richard & Claudia Mach, Barry Mach, Frederic & Karen Mach, Georgia & Stanley Jett (both deceased), Charles (deceased) & Arliss Trautman, and Robert (deceased) &  Carol Trautman.

A graduate of Oakland Community College, Scott earned degrees in General Studies and in CAD design. He worked for the Genesis Health club in St Louis, Schenk Turner in Lake Orion, Lytles Pharmacy in Rochester, and was known as the Ambassador for the Give Thanks Bakery in Rochester as he drove their bread and pastries all over metro Detroit.

Beloved by his family and friends, he will always be remembered as a source of sunshine and joy. He was forever cheerful, loving and kind. His sense of humor was ever present and his eyes would twinkle when he would tease or tell a joke. A steadfast saintly soul with a true servant’s heart, he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00 am the Church of the Holy Redeemer in Rochester Hills.  Interment will follow at Square Lake Cemetery.

All are invited for a wake of remembrance which will be held on Monday, October 21st from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. with a meal being served at 12 noon at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Waldon Road, Lake Orion.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Scott may be made to ALS of Michigan.
