Sharon Ann Demeritt

Sharon Ann DeMeritt; of Lake Orion; age 68, passed away on November 4, 2024.  Sharon is the daughter of the late Arthur and Winifred Johnson; the beloved wife of Paul, with whom they shared 49 years of marriage; the loving mother of Derrick (Jen) DeMeritt and Vail (Kellie) DeMeritt; loving grandmother of William, Mikaila, Vivian and Brecken; and sister of the late Steven G. Johnson.  Sharon was the CEO of Combustion Research Corporation.  She enjoyed cooking and gardening, and was an accomplished artist ranging from painting to wood carving.  Sharon always looked forward to the summer boating and swimming activities with family and friends on Long Lake in Orion Township.  She frequently hosted family gatherings at her Lake Orion home to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and life!

The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 pm, Monday November 11, 2024, at the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Breakthrough T1D (Formerly JDRF) or to the organization of one’s choice
