HOLBERT, SHARON age 74 of Lake Orion. Born April 4, 1934 in Lumberport, West Virginia., passed away August 29, 2008 after a short but courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Beloved wife for 55 ½ years to Edward Holbert. Loving mother of Patricia(Duane) Feltz, Rhonda(Joe) Warfield and Jackie(Bob) Lawson. "Special Mom" of Kevin Whitener. Loving grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 11 and one on its way. Sister of Virgil (JoClair) Hickman, Barabra(Ted Brennan) Wheeler and Sydney (Cindy) Hickman, all of WV. Sister-in-law of Dorothy Hickman, Joanne Gayheart, Tommy(Liz) Holbert all of Lake Orion and John (Cheryl) Holbert of WV.Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; Ira and Ruth(Elza) Hickman, brothers; Alfred, Richard, David, Curtis, Kenneth, Jeff and baby Earl Hickman, sister; Ruth Underwood, Mother & Father-in-laws Curtis and Pauline Holbert; Son-in-laws; Butch Feltz and Ted Warfield. Sharon was a loving and giving woman that believed in her faith of the Lord deeply. She was a member of Spirit Life Temple in Clarkston. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral service Wednesday September 3, 2008 11 am at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Tuesday, after 3pm, with suggested visiting hours of 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery. Pastor Eric King officiating.
