Shedrick Lorenzo Knox Sr.

Shedrick Lorenzo Knox Sr. (Poobah), a caring husband, father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, departed this life on December 4, 2021 at McLaren Oakland Hospital.  He was 42 years young.  He is survived by his devoted wife Melissa Winton Knox, loving children, Lachell Knox, Braylon Knox, Kendell Johnson, Kelia Johnson, Cameron Shirley, Cedrinan Knox and Shedrick Knox Jr., step-children Darnell Powell and Darius Powell.  He also leaves to cherish his memory his father Shedrick Walker, brothers Travis Hall, Steven Knox and John Knox, his sister Dana Knox, mother-in-law Ileane Tankersley, uncles Alphonzo Walker, Alvin Walker, Kevin Walker and Bob Walker.  Shedrick will also be deeply missed by sister friends, Erileasha Welch, Lavina Mabin, Darlene Stokes, Sylvia Deboes and Shanita Cooley.  In addition, Shedrick has 8 grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.  He had an awesome personality with an infectious smile.  He enjoyed listening to music, playing with his beloved dogs, caring for his fish, riding around in his truck and hanging out with friends and family.  He was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Lewis, grandmother Christine Walker, uncle Albert Walker, aunt Tanya Walker and beloved cousin Tremaine (T-dot) Walker.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 11 am until noon with services immediately following at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, 46 Williams St. Pontiac, Michigan.  Interment at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
