Royes, Assenico Sidney Sr.; age 69; of Auburn Hills; died September 5, 2008. Sidney is survived by his three sons, Timothy K., Terry A. and Sidney A. Jr.; one daughter Joselyn; and three grandchildren, Mark, Keysha and Malia. He is also survived by his sisters Edith (Lindsay) Royes, Hyacinth (Richard) Royes, Buelah (Newton) Royes and Shirley (Harold) Royes; former wife Jessie L. King; and special friend Charmin Perkins and her son Alex Anderson. Sidney was born in St. Anns, Jamaica on April 15, 1939 and soon came to Florida at age 19 to pick oranges. That was followed by a move to Michigan to work for GM at the age of 25. He retired from GM after 32 years of service. Sidney was well known to all of Pontiac. He showed his kindness and love to all people that he had contact with. Now may he rest his soul. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery. Reflections may be shared with the family at www.sparksgriffin.com.
