Stanley Makowski

Stanley Makowski; of Oakland, age 69; passed away August 16, 2019.  Stanley is the beloved husband of Tammy for 30 years; and loving father of Shannon.  He is also survived by his siblings Joe, Barb, Marlene, Pat and Dan.  Stanley was a kind, big hearted guy who loved his family and friends.  He enjoyed being an Engineer and worked hard all of his life.  Stanley served in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War and was a proud Veteran.  Most of all he loved being on the water and had a passion for fishing.  His dog Gidget was his constant companion, always by his side.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 10am at St. Jane Frances De Chantal Catholic Church, 38750 Ryan Road, Sterling Heights, 48310.  Visitation will be held from 9:30am until the time service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
