Susan Carol Barrett

Susan Carol Barrett was born on April 9, 1943, to the late Richard and Helen Barrett and passed away on April 9, 2024. Susan is the wife of the late Thomas Wilson; a loving mother to Eligah (Brenda) Vires Jr. and Christina (Chris) Kometer; beloved grandmother of Eligah (Jennifer) Vires, III, Amanda (Jeff) Santiago, Meaghan Vires, and Jonathan Kometer; adoring great-grandmother of Jacob, Maddy, Gil, Mateo, Grace, KleShaya, Tyler, and Lucas; and beloved sister of Pat, Richard, Kathleen, John, Helen, Jim, June, Margaret, Timmy, Mary, Julia, and the late George.

Susan worked as a social worker for over 30 years and even retired from working with the State of Michigan three separate times. She was even brave enough to go to college after retiring. Susan loved all animals so much that she eventually started trapping and releasing cats in overpopulated areas. She was always there when you needed her and loved helping others in their time of need. Susan enjoyed modeling and being a Vincentian for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She will be greatly missed by all, but she is now in the presence of the angels.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at St. Michael Catholic Church, 120 Lewis St., Pontiac, MI 48342. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 12:00 pm at St. Michael Catholic Church.
