Sylvia Canales; age 65; of Detroit; passed away on January 10, 2022. Sylvia is the beloved wife of Armando Sanchez for 8 years; loving mother of Rosa, Lynn, Gabriel, Jordan, and Jessica; loving grandmother of Xenia, Leonardo, Gino, D'Angelo, Nelly, Ricardo, Amada, Gisselle, Carlyona, Mia, Julian, Jiovanni, Angelina, Joaquin, Liam, Armani, Jullianna and Liah; and beloved mother-in-law to Raul Bermudez. Sylvia was a very hard-working woman from the age of 16 all the way until she was 57 years old. Slyvia was a helpful woman, she always wanted to help someone in whatever they needed. She always had a helping hand. This woman was a passionate woman when it came down to decorating her home for the holidays. She loved to decorate her big Christmas tree, and she did not care if that tree touched the ceiling. She wanted that tree to be big and beautiful. Sylvia was always down to tell her husband, her kids, or her grandkids “Come on let's go eat somewhere like the Arabes or something”. She always had a sweet tooth and her decision for her sweet tooth was always a piece of cake. Sylvia was always known by “Mom” she didn’t care who you were but she always said “No, I’m not Sylvia or grandma. You call me “Mom” cause I’m your Mom. “She just loved to have her family with her and was always ready to just get up and dress up with her flashy jewelry and makeup. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel.
