Tama L.Evans of Pontiac; departed this life July 12, 2008 at the age of 79. She is preceded in death by husband Alex Evans. Tama is the beloved mother of Sandra (Charles) Spangler, Linda (Edward) Wood, John Evans, Deborah (Michael) Sangster, David (Bridgett) Evans, Daryl Evans, Timothy Evans, Patrick (Patricia) Evans and step-mother of Idella (Huey) Long. Mrs. Evans was a devoted grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother; and sister to Cora E. Brown, Willa (Richard) Moss and the late Marie Jennings and Lavonia Scott. She is also survived by her special aunt Odessa Douglas, her brother in heart Larnell Draper and a host of loving relatives and friends. Homegoing service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Greater Bible Temple, 1150 Perry St., Pontiac, with Pastor David Allison officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. with Family Hour from 7 to 8 p.m. Burial Perry Mount Park Cemetery.
