Thomas Edward Gawne

GAWNE, THOMAS EDWARD; of Lake Orion; died November 8, 2012; at 92 years of age. Tom was married to his wife Alice for over 62 years. She predeceased him in 2002. He is survived by his daughters, Sue (Gayle) Beamer, JoAnne (John) Keils, Pat (Bill) Hewitt, and Sally (Gary) King. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren. Tom lived in Lake Orion his entire adult life. He worked in construction, and in his retirement years loved to play golf. He worked as a starter at both Pine Knob, a n d P a i n t C r e e k g o l f courses, until declining health forced his to stop. Cremation is being handled by Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home (248-693- 8336). A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 17 at Christ the King Church, 1550 W. Drahner Rd., Oxford, Mi. The family requests memorials be made to Christ the King Church.
