FAIRBROTHER, THOMAS J. age 84, of Auburn Hills, died March 19, 2008. Son of the late John R. and Kathryn G. Fairbrother of Pontiac. Loving and loved father and best buddy of his daughter, Kittie J. Fairbrother. Beloved brother of John (the late Noreen); the late Frances Hamlin (William); Louis (Barbara); and William (Sharon). Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews and their families. Mr. Fairbrother was a W.W. II veteran of the U.S. Army, landing with many other quiet heroes at Utah Beach. He seldom spoke of the war, but spoke often with humor and great pleasure about his beloved "Army Buddies". Mr. Fairbrother ran his own excavating business for over 30 years. He loved hunting, sports, going "up north", and being with his family and friends. Among the special people who added quality to his life are his good neighbor and friend Coy Hall, his friend Ruth Lyons, his "up north neighbors" Tim and Jan King and the kind and caring residents and staff at America House Stone and Hospice of Michigan.
