Tomas Galarza Reyes

In Loving memory of Tomas Galarza Reyes; Age 88; of Pontiac ;formerly from Caguas Puerto Rico. Tomas passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on April 15, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones. Former husband of Carmela Reyes. Beloved father of Tommy Reyes, Efrain Reyes, Hector (Jackie) Reyes, Norma Reyes Bradshaw, Carmen (Jose) Lemus, Roger (Suzie) Reyes and Brenda (Jim) Reyes Mezza. Loving grandfather of Brenda (Devon), Angelina (Samuel), Jose (Kimberly), Sylvanus, William, Dominique (John), Domonique (Justin), Marco, Rachel, Antonio, Jesse, Carlos, Tomas, Adriana and Alexandria. Loving companion of Monica Rivera. Tomas was preceded in death by his parents Facundo and Maria Galarza Reyes, brother Santos, sisters Luz Maria, Virginia, and Susana. Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers; Salvador, Gaspar (Luz), Rafael, Enrique (Olga), and Ismael Rosario, sisters; Candida, Carmen, and Aida, as well as other family and friends. Tomas retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Our Papi loved watching baseball, basketball, football but most especially his Detroit Tigers. Papi was so loved by us his children, grandchildren  loving great-grandfather of Amy, Kristina,Jenise, Monique,Jalisa, Isiah, Mya, Lucyana and Adriana. We will miss his jokes, singing, wisdom, love and laughter. Family was the heart of Papi as well as his love and faith in God. Papi’s passing leaves a deep void in our hearts. We will forever love and miss you Papi. Until we see each other again. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with viewing from 9:30 a.m until time of Mass. Family will receive friends Friday from 4 –8 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac with Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, Waterford Twp.
