Velera Kurleto

Velera Kurleto of Rochester Hills passed away peacefully on May 19th, 2024 - just shy of her 91st birthday.  She is survived by her 2 daughters, Carol and Betsey, 3 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Velera was a loving Mother and a devoted Grandmother.  She loved being a stay-at-home Mom and spending time with her daughters. Eventually, Velera earned an Accounting degree from Walsh College and became an Accountant.  Velera lived a very active life, enjoying long nature walks, biking, swimming, and especially enjoyed playing tennis.  Velera was always up for a match and was fortunate enough to have a home-court advantage at her condominium.  She was also an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling and paying close attention to the stock market.  Velera loved attending church and found comfort in reading the Bible daily.

Her love, kindness, and humor will be missed, but our family is comforted by our faith in God.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at Lake Orion Methodist Church in Lake Orion at 11:00am, visitation will be held before starting at 10:00 am.
