Nienstedt, Vernice; age 87, of Lapeer, MI; passed away January 31, 2007. Vernice was a long-time resident of Pontiac and Lapeer; born May 22, 1919 in Harrisburg, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Gerald W. Nienstedt in 1942, who preceded her in death in 1973. The middle of three children, Vernice is survived by her younger sister, Eva Williamson of Hollywood, FL. Loving mother of four children: William (Barb) Nienstedt, of Morganton, GA; Jerry (Gerri) Nienstedt, of Lake Orion, MI; Linda (Bill) Tursi, of Cape Coral, FL; and the late Thomas Nienstedt. Beloved grandmother of six: Mark (LeeAnn), Beth, Andrea, and Kate Nienstedt; and Billy and Tara Tursi; Proud great-grandmother of Alexa Rae Nienstedt. She is also survived by many dear friends. Funeral service 10 AM Saturday, February 3, 2007 @ the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Friday after 3pm, with suggested visiting hours of 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Reverend Todd Smith officiating. Interment White Chapel Cemetery.
