Vernon J. Titus

Vernon Jay Titus; of Lake Orion; age 82; passed away on November 11, 2021.  Vernon is the beloved husband of Nancy Irma Titus for 59 years; loving father of Mark Titus, Jill (William) Haslinger, Joy Titus, Michael (Kelly) Titus, David (Jillian) Titus and Vernon Titus; loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He is also the dear brother of the late Robert Titus, Evangeline Lemos, Guy (Grace) Titus, Randolph (Dale) Titus, Gary Titus, Arlana (the late Richard) Wilson, Brent (Terri) Titus, Jeffrey (Tina) Titus and Marlene (David) Kaminski; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Ethel Titus. Vernon was a devoted family man who loved to be involved with his family's lives.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially attending all of their sporting events.  He was a proud Air Force Veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He liked watching sports and was a faithful, die-hard, Detroit Lions fan. Vernon enjoyed socializing and had many, many friends throughout his life.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Orion.  The family will welcome friends for a visitation on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 3-7 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  Interment at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills, MI.
