Vernon Lambert

Vernon Lee Lambert, Born in Antrim County, Michigan on August 6, 1937 son of Vern Dallas Lambert and Louise Catherine Lambert, passed away peacefully at his home in Metamora, MI with his children and family at his side on January 8, 2019. Vernon was loved by all who knew him. Generous, kind, giving and caring, Vernon was a devoted father, brother and grandfather who was always available to anyone who needed his help. He was retired from General Motors after 41 years of quality work and dedication. Mr. Lambert was an avid fisherman and card player. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all time with his family. Sports of all types were another of his passions. Vernon was preceded in death by his wife Marion, his son Robert Francois, his parents Vern Dallas and Louise Catherine Lambert, his brother John and his sisters, Regina Bible and Katherine Gilbert as well as his special nephew William Ralph Lambert. Vernon is survived by his children, Cheryl (Tom) Wagner, Timothy (Lambert) Francois and Grace, Lisa (Rob) Partyka, Christopher (Cindy) Lambert, Amy (Duane) Idziak and Andrea Lambert, his grandchildren Danielle Wagner (Matt Harris), Courtney Wagner (Roderick McDonald), Robert Francois JR, and Ryan Gott, Justin Joseph Partyka, Nathan Lee House, Joseph Vernon (Lambert) Francois and Chance Russell(Lambert) Francois, his great grandchildren, Devon Wagner and Jordan Wagner, Ennis Barrow, Roderick McDonald, Makenzie Gott, Peyton Gott, Siena Francois and a great-great granddaughter Paislie Wagner. In addition, Mr. Lambert issurvived by his brothers and sisters, Dale (Karen) Lambert, Thomas Lambert, Sally (Wayne) Orr, Peggy (Doug) Green, Rosalee (Jerry) Bell, Paula (Joe) Gibson and Evelyn Lambert as well as by his Aunt Daisy Mae Lambert-Wilson who is 106 years of age and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11am at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 3-7pm at Sparks-Griffin, Lake Orion. In lieu of flowers may be made to the Kindred Hospice of Flint.
