Vivian Arlene Gibson
Vivian A. Gibson passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 100. She was the beloved wife of late George F. Gibson Jr.; the cherished mother of the late Sue Hansen (Roger), Jan Harp (Rod), the late John Gibson, Allan Gibson (Amy) and Kris Morin; and the loving grandmother of Carrie, Brian, Ryan, Stephanie, Jason, Peter, Dana, Kate, Alex and Bradley. She was also the loving great-grandmother of Megan, Olivia, Calum, Nikolas, Trevor, Brady, Liam, Charlie Mae, Jona, Mira, Vivian, Maggie and the late Oskar, and was about to be a great-great grandmother in September 2026. Vivian was the oldest of eight children. She was preceded in death by her parents Donnah and Lee Tubbs; and siblings, Donnah Lee, Marilyn, Phyllis, Gary, and Charles. Her brother Larry Tubbs (the late Julia), Sharon Thomasson (Jerry) and sister-in-law Ann Tubbs survive her.
Vivian loved her family and took an interest in all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always wanted to know what was going on in their life, their jobs and their school. She read books and watched the news so she could discuss current events with the best of them. Mom was a fantastic house decorator and a fabulous dresser! She worked with Ruth Peterson, founder of the FISH Food Pantry, when it first started in Pontiac, Michigan. She read her devotions every day, had a deep faith and gave credit to God for all the goodness and safekeeping in her life!
