Wanda Pricilla Bennett was born September 28, 1961 in Murry, Kentucky to Bernice Bennett and Stanley Bennett. She attended Pontiac Central High School. Wanda was known for her bright smile and joyful loudness. As a young adult she became a strong and dedicated mother of Dionel and Lionel Bennett, Lisa Johnson, James Bennett, La Wanda Bennett, Brian and Donzel Perdue, Marquita and Breanna Wilson. God mother of Bill, Sue Shontae and Cle. In the early 90s she worked for Pontiac School District. Wanda moved from Pontiac, MI to Toledo, OH in 1966 to give her two youngest a better life. In 2000 she later became a member of Monroe Street United Methodist Church. In 2014, she later moved back to Pontiac, MI to be closer to her oldest children, god sister Evelyn and best friend Gwen. Later in life she happily witnessed the proud union of Lisa and Jesse and Dionel & Tanisha. She was a proud nana of all her grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She was affiliated with AA and obtained sobriety for the last 10 years. Wanda was know as Wonder Woman and she lived just for that.
On March 13, 2022 God decided to call Wanda P. Bennett home. She preceded in death by her mother Bernice Bennett, father Stanley Bennett, cousin Demarco Kinel. Wanda is survived by her five children, Dionel Bennett (Tanisha), Lionel Bennett, Lisa Johnson (Jesse), James Bennett and La Wanda Bennett (Dominique). She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, sisters Linda Brooks ( Ronald) and Janice Bennett ( Douglas); brothers, Albert Bennett (Lois), Willie Bennett and Christopher Bennett (Nicole); a host of grandchildren and lots of close friends and family.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at Sparks - Griffin Funeral Pontiac Chapel. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
