William A. Shankin

April 1, 1928 — November 20, 2008

SHANKIN, WILLIAM A.; age 80; of Oakland Township; died at his home Nov. 20. Beloved husband of Lois, loving father of Linda (Randy) Shepard, the late Laurel (Tony) Luttrell, Luanne Grosjean, William G. Shankin, Lisa (Rick) Rivera, Robert (Joan) Shankin and Leslie (John) Cunningham. Survived by 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, siblings Donald Shankin, Cathleen (Chuck) Bonstrom, Jerry (Joan) Shankin and Sue (Norris) Hyatt. Mr. Shankin retired from Ford Tractor in 1986. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Nov. 26 at Christ the King Church located at 1500 Drahner Road in Oxford with a service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ the King Church and the Oxford Problem Pregnancy Center.
