William "Bill" Cochran

William "Bill" Cochran; of Lapeer; age 81; passed away on August 21, 2020.  Bill is the loving husband of 39 1/2 years to Helen Cochran; loving father of Durinda Pena, Rondi (Jimmy) Grigg, Melissa (Mark) Brzys, John (Connie) Cochran and Michael Petty; loving grandfather of 14; and great grandfather of 22; and loving brother of Joan Brady. Bill was preceded in death by his parents John and Irene Cochran, his brother Jim Cochran and his grandson Derek Brzys.  Bill adored his wife Helen and was a wonderful, kind and caring man.  He enjoyed showing photos and talking about his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Bill loved sports and was a big Detroit Tigers fan, he enjoyed golfing and watching horse racing. In his youth, he spent time fishing and deer hunting.  He also was a collector of baseball cards, golf balls, hub caps and watches.  Bill was dearly loved by his family and all who knew him and he will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 5-7pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home (masks are required at Funeral Home) with Memorial Service on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 5pm Woodbridge Park at Clubhouse, 1378 Lincoln Street, Lapeer. Memorial donations my be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
