| WILLIAM L. COTTER, of Waterford; January 24, 2009; age 80; beloved husband of Joyce for 60 years; dear father of Cynthia Cotter of Keego Harbor, Candace Fisher of Idaho, Julie Plank of California, and the late Kelly Yates and William Cotter; loving Grandfather of eight and great grandfather of seven; brother of Jean (Fred) Auch of Birmingham. Mr. Cotter was the President of the Cotter Electric Co., and a lifetime member of Pine Lake Country Club. He was a Marine Corp veteran of WW2, serving in China, and was formerly a Police Officer in the City of Detroit. Mr. Cotter was a former member of Sylvan Lake Lutheran Church. Joyce and Bill were partners in creating a successful business. Bill had wit, charm, and a great heart, and was a good and generous father, friend and grandfather. Funeral services Thursday 11:00 am. from Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel (248-338-9288). Internment Great Lakes National Cemetery. The Cotter family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2 to 4, and 6 to 8 pm. |
