William G. Honaker

William Honaker; age 87; died May 30, 2017 at his home in Oxford, Michigan.

Mr. Honaker was born October 7, 1929 in WV to William and Neva Honaker. He is preceded in death by his wife Rita, who were happily married for 52 years. He is survived by three children, Rod (Kathy), Debora and Will. He has 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

William proudly served in the Korean War. He was Commander of AmVets Post 113, of which he ran the Bingo games, President of Pontiac Coin Club and President of Pontiac Gun Club. For many years he coached AmVets, a Class A Baseball Team at Jaycee Park in Pontiac. He was manager of City Ice of which he employed anyone that needed a job. He and Rita owned Frosty Boy in Pontiac. Everywhere William went he made lasting friends.

At his request, only a grave site memorial will be held at the Great Lakes National Cemetery. Arrangements are being made through Sparks Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion.
