William Joseph Manning

May 3, 1940 — March 26, 2011

William Joseph Manning; born May 30, 1940 in Anderson, South Carolina; died March 26, 2011 at the age 70; formerly of Clarkston. William was preceded in death by his mother Helen Bannister, step-father Joe Bannister, father Jack Manning, brother Clayton Manning and brother Jackie Bannister. He is survived by three brothers, Robert (Betty) Bannister, Joe (Sunny) Bannister, Steve (Theresa) Bannister; and one sister Grace (Don) Burton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. William was retired from General Motors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and will be missed and loved by all. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery. Reflections shared at www.sparksgriffin.com.
