Zoenda J. Wilson

Zoenda  Joy'L Wilson was born June 07, 1975 in Pontiac, Michigan to Melvin and Susanlyn Wilson. Before recently joining Antioch Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor Timothy Lawrence), she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at New Springfield Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Willie L. Cohen.  Joy, as she was affectionately known, grew up in Herrington Hills Subdivision and attended Pontiac schools. In 1994 she graduated from high school as a Pontiac Northern husky where she participated in many auxiliaries in extra-curricular activities while in school.

Joy loved to plant flowers, interior decorate, styling hair, and her independence of doing things her own way. She fought really hard to grasp normalcy in her life by re-obtainig her license after several life altering health concerns. She was able to drive again and was so happy she purchased her own car.

Zoenda leaves to cherish her memories her parents Melvin Sr. and Susanlyn Wilson. Children, Blakestan Hope, Ty'Lynn Tsooreyah-Taiwan, Delorean Zaida, one grandson Cam'Rin Blake, Siblings Carl, Dominique(Marc), Tierza (Keyvon), Melvin Jr., and Jahmal.  Nieces and Nephews, Alexis, CJ, Cameron, Marc II, Epiphany, Ameraeh, Emery, and Deuce. Zoenda has a Host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins that stretch from Pontiac, Michigan to Greenville MS., Very special cousins Morris, Omar, Corey, Toshia and Tarryon, LaTonya, LaToya.

Joy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eddie and Dora Wilson, Marvin and Dorothy Lewis, many aunts, uncles, and cousins one very special aunt, Venus Lewis and very special cousin, Terrica Wilson.  A visitation will be held on July 22, 2020 from 11-12am at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Pontiac.  Only 10 people will be allowed at a time and masks are required in the funeral home. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery.
