Elaine H. Noble

April 9, 1916 — August 5, 2007

Noble, Eliane H. passed away August 5, 2007 at the Lake Orion Nursing Center.  Mrs. Noble who was 91 had lost her husband William T. Noble several years before.  They lived in Lake Orion for the past thirty years.  She is survived by her two sons; Edward R. Noble, of Metamora and Richard C. Noble of Fenton, Michigan.  Plus two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Also two sisters; Esther Elias, Bloomfield Hills, and Donna Lowe, Bay City.  Mrs. Noble was born in Cass City, Michigan to J.D. and Louise Turner, part of the vast Turner families in the thumb area.  Mrs. Noble along with her husband and children all had lifelong careers in journalism.  Mrs. Noble was also in public relations work for the last thirty years of her working experience.  Mrs. Noble enjoyed playing the piano and painting; Elaine and her husband were frequent vacationers to Mexico and Palm Springs, CA where they were newspaper publishers around 1950.  Mrs. Noble never forgot her many years in publishing and promotion and one of the first duties of each day was to read her morning newspapers.  Her remains will be returned to Cass City where she often recalled her joyful days with her two sisters and family.   Private family services have been held.   Arrangements entrusted to the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home.
