Ramon G. Treviño Sr.; of Pontiac; formerly of Mercedes, Texas; age 74; born Dec. 16, 1936; went to be with the Lord April 10, 2011; beloved husband of Mary Delia (Gomez) Treviño; loving father of Ramon Jr. (Melissa) Treviño, Raquel (Terry) Stephan, and Rosana Burnette; loving grandfather of Matthew Herzog, Terence and Antonio Stephan, and Jaden Burnette; and brother of Tomas and Elva Treviño. Ramon is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Gumecindo and Maria Garcia Treviño. Ramon was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from General Motors in 1994 after 33 ½ years. Ramon was a lifetime member of the Mexican Mutual Society of Auburn Hills. His hobbies included woodworking, site seeing and traveling. Ramon loved to be surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St Damien of Molokai Parish, St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Kean officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home with Rosary prayers beginning at 7:30 p.m. Interment Christian Memorial Cemetery.
