Virginia Rose Dowdy

Virginia Rose Dowdy; of Lake Orion; age 91; passed away on July 18, 2018. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Dowdy Sr.; and sons, Greg Dowdy and Glenn Dowdy Jr.  She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Erickson and son-in-law Gordon “Jim” Erickson; and daughter-in-law Pam Dowdy-St. Onge-Cyr.  Virginia is also survived by her grandchildren, Tina (Mike) Brooks, Stacy Wolschon, Bryan (Christian Del Moral) Erickson, Chris Erickson, Rebecca (Mark) Pravato, Adam (Rebecca) Dowdy, Daniel (Sienna) Dowdy, Christina Bray, Melissa Dowdy-Bosek and Jamie Thompson; 23 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.  Virginia managed Claire’s Boutique for many years and later worked at Montgomery Ward’s for 32 years.  She loved to cook, crochet and read.  She also loved being a Grandma and amongst her family she will be remembered at the best Grandma ever.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11am at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8pm.  Interment Ottawa Park Cemetery.
